I'm not exactly ready to vote -1, but I think we should resolve these issues before M3:

1. http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-386 Make cmp work with derby. Prove it with the itests

2. http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-402 finish separating deployment code and runtime code. We've been operating with this architectural mistake long enough.

I'm willing to try (2) (for the second time) and if I don't finish, I won't worry about it. I think (1) is very important for credibility purposes, but I don't have time to learn enough tranql to do it myself.

thanks

On the belief we need to formally vote on making a release, should we produce a M3 release?
