Ok, so I've been creating jira items like crazy and worked on
creating a confluence page with the state of our efforts.

What's in there now is mosly EJB 3 simplification items and nothing
really on the usage or implementation of javax.persistence. Going to
work on some of that next, specifically what is required to support a
JPA PersistenceProvider.
