Are you setting JAVA_HOME in windows or in Cygwin?
Looks to me like you are having some related environmental
configuration issues.
Short of telling you to double check your configuration, nuke your
local repo and the obligatory "go by a mac" statement... not much I
can do.
Maybe someone else who actually uses that platform might have some
more insight into what is going on in Cygwin.
