Ours is in framework/modules/geronimo-crypto. We have the bc
license copied in the LICENSE.txt file which looks good to me but we
also have this notice bit in NOTICE.txt:

This product includes software (the ASN1 codec in the
org.apache.geronimo.asn1
package) developed by the Bouncy Castle project.

From the license it looks to me as if the NOTICE fragment is not
needed, only the license.
I think you are correct. I don't have a network connection at the
moment and I'd like to check on a few things... This is a slightly
different case than the norm, in that the we're not including BC
source, not just including a BC jar.
Copyright statements in our source should be moved to our NOTICE file
(If possible -- note that we can't just simply move someone else's
copyright statements -- the copyright holder must do that). I'm a bit
surprised that I'm not seeing any BC copyrights in our geronimo-crypto
source -- it's all AL2 licensed.

Again, that was the procedure that Geir gave me to follow when the
bouncy castle code was pulled in. I'm fairly certain he consulted legal
at the time. I'll see if I can't dig up a copy of the original email.

I'm a little confused, however, because all of the geronimo-crypto
source files seem to have AL source license header. I'm guessing that
we might have improperly relicensed some of the files.
