Ivan commented on GERONIMO-5642:
--------------------------------
Yes, the location should be somewhere which could be edit by IDE. For Tomcat, I
can see that we could add a "debug" element in the vendor deployment
descriptor, the element might have "reverse" and "location" attributes. While
users configured it, the search order should be FileDirContext specified by
the location attribute, then the installed BundleDirContext. Think that Jetty
should be able to do the similar things.
Thoughts ?

> Currently, the users could not dynamically reload JSP files as the
> application is left packaged, one possible solution is that to keep a tag in
> the deployment codes, while it is turned on, we might extract those jsp files
> in a "temp" folder, and attach that folder as a alt context, but some details
> still need to be considered.
> Open a JIRA to track this, I think that we do need this function in the
> coming Geronimo 3.0 release, hope that we could find a more gentle way to do
> it.
