Lewis John McGibbney commented on GORA-9:
-----------------------------------------
The last time I spoke to Andrzej about this he mentioned that we have unclear
semantics of delete() ops in Gora, and that he also wasn't quite sure how to
best translate Gora queries to Solr queries.
Finally he also mentioned that one of our tests (which asserts that a record is
not available anymore after delete but before commit) would work now in Solr
with "realtime get", if it's still needed, i.e. if the delete in Gora should
have immediate effect prior to commit.
We know that delete semantics in Gora could do with a review as there has been
consistency to the application of deletes across all datastores. However I
wonder if you could maybe comment on the second point above and whether we can
bake this in to this patch. Your efforts are really helpful.

> For applications that use Solr it may be convenient to store data in a
> dedicated Solr core. SolrJ API provides necessary support to implement a
> DataStore.
