Some people are effectively paid to work on Gradle, apparently it is not
considered appropriate to give back to Groovy by fixing GroovyDoc,
instead a workaround of avoiding Groovy and writing in Java is
apparently considered more appropriate.

Sadly I cannot commit to helping a GroovyDoc rewrite just now, but I can
certainly help by trying things out and reporting back.
