let's see if I understood: * for what I see in http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=96946 Caolán is trying to make an extension out of it, that will build in sdext * but he is not changing the implementation (to make it not link against non URE libs.) For what I've reading from sb everywhere, an extension is granted at runtime only to have loaded and find the URE libraries, and if any other assumption works it's just for luck. So why not integrate this upstream just like it's done downstream: * it's not a lot of code, so build time won't grow a lot * if someone has concerns on making this optional, there can be yet another option in the Options dialog, under OOo - View - Use OpenGL, or under Impress options.
