file:///home/clw/.ooo3/ means you're using your distro's version, not
OpenOffice.org as downloaded from www.openoffice.org. So this extension
downloaded
from http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/ is binary incompatible.
You can
* remove your distro's version and install OpenOffice.org downloaded from
www.openoffice.org, then install the PDF extension from
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org
* ask your distro if they also build and package the PDF extension
* build the whole office yourself (not recommended)
