Hi Andreas,
in OOo 2.0 we introduced the custom shapes. These shapes have an
algorithmic description of their
outline and they can be modified with handles (for example the smiley
can be made happy or sad).
On the long run we want to remove the legacy shapes as the new custom
shapes are easier to
maintain for developers as there is only one implementation for all of them.

Christian

Hi all,
I'm wondering, why there are two different classes of default shapes for
rectangle and ellipsis in the toolbar drawing.
I stumbled across this, when I tried to set a line break for a rectangle. I
saw, that this option was not active, if I use the rectangle direct from the
toolbar. If I use the one of the submenu default shapes (Standardformen in
German), the option is active.
Is there are a special reason, why there are two different classes of
rectangle and ellipsis? I can't see one currently.
Regards,
Andreas
