"If exceptions are caught" doesn't really provide much information, and
"converting into a byte array" is an internal concern. This may be a moot point
if switching over to `UnsupportedOperationException` (see below), as the
exception need not be declared in that case, but otherwise perhaps there is a
way to describe the cases where exceptions will be thrown which does not
reference internal implementation details?
