+1 on creating different message queues and evaluating the best one. We would
need an implementation similar to MapOutputBuffer (We can't pick as it is but
sure can generalize it). Going by our current needs, as a first version I am
just looking into modifying DataOutputByteBuffer with a MappedByteBuffer and a
spilling thread underneath. This way we can have batch I/Os to disk when
needed. Also the discussion and problem definition in JIRA is all over the
place. Let me organize it.
