Oleg Kalnichevski resolved HTTPCLIENT-1271.
-------------------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
David
I am very sorry but we as a project have no means of removing or revoking
artifacts from the Maven central. Besides, as far as know artifacts published
to the Maven central cannot be deleted.
There must be a way to configure Maven to exclude this particular version of
the artifact. Besides, Commons HttpClient 3.x is at the end of life. You should
consider upgrading to 4.x
Oleg
> Remove commons-httpclient version 20020423 from the central maven repository
> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: HTTPCLIENT-1271
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HTTPCLIENT-1271
> Project: HttpComponents HttpClient
> Issue Type: Wish
> Components: HttpClient
> Reporter: David Boden
> Priority: Trivial
>
> If possible, please remove this artifact from the central maven repository:
> The default Maven versions algorithm reports that it's the latest version,
> which results in confusing results from the
> versions:display-dependency-updates goal.
> It seems very unlikely that anyone is using this build.
