Gary
I am in favor of migrating HttpCore integration tests to Log4J2 but could you
please hold off application of this patch for a week or two? I am working on a
rather large change-set which also touches intgeration test framework. I need a
few more days to finalize it.

Oleg
PS: the patch looks noisy due to what looks like incosistent line endings in
local and repository files. You should try to fix it before committing the
patch to avoid unnecessary noise in repository commits.

> Port from Apache Commons Logging to Apache Log4j 2.
> For this component, there is no {{main}} use of Commons Logging, only from
> {{test}}.
> I propose we do this one no matter what since it will give us a good test bed.
