@michael-o Of course, my first choice was to use the plugging mechanism for
auth scheme. But there were several problems. I needed CredSSP to take
precedence over NTLM during auth negotiation. And I needed updated NTLM
implementation (as explained above). I could not achieve any of those with
existing code. I was trying to start communication on the mailing list. But
there was no reaction. Therefore I did my best with the information that I had
at the time. Maybe some time there will be a time to revisit this. But for now
my fork does the job. It is a shame that we as members of open source community
(and especially Apache foundation) cannot really communicate. But obviously,
that's the way how it is.
