@michael-o I would gladly split the PR. I would even gladly modify it for
better modularity. Given that HTTP Client has almost zero design documentation
and given no responses to my mailing list messages I did the best I could. What
I've got in return was complaints about wrong code formatting - given that I
have did my best effort to check for formatting rules before I started the
contribution, found none, then I used the (organizationally) closest definition
that I have found. And even went through the pain of satisfying checkstyle
plugin. And after all that frustration I've got into a fight that actually
boiled down to whether code formatting rules should or should not be mentioned
on project home page. I'm sorry, but all of this seems to be completely
ridiculous to me.
