Yes, we have considered Curator. Helix goal is slightly different, we are using
zookeeper more has a datastore. Also, our performance requirements are quite
different and it gives us more control to optimize the way we access zookeeper
data. This is actually one of the reasons we want to remove the dependency on
zkclient. We want to get closer to zk api than move away from it.
We also have plans to use other systems like infinispan/hazelcast to store the
cluster info for AP systems where zk is not ideal.
On the OSGi patch. It looks good, few comments/questions
- How do we test this, we have no clue about OSGi. Will people who dont need
this feature, need to depend on OSGi jars?
- I see some things like below, what are these

- I am adding dependency on google gauva library. will this be a problem ?
