The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Hive is delighted to announce that Dmitriy Fingerman has joined the PMC!
Dmitriy has been a committer since November 2024 and has remained consistently active since then. He has pushed many contributions to the project and reviewed a large amount of patches. In addition to his technical contributions, he often advocates for Hive in LinkedIn and wrote some insightful articles around Iceberg in Medium. Recently, Dmitriy took on the role of release manager for Hive 4.2.0, and led the release to a successful completion. The PMC - Project Management Committee - manages and guides the direction of the project, and is responsible for inviting new committers and PMC members to steward the longevity of the project. See https://community.apache.org/pmc/responsibilities.html if you're interested in learning more about the rights and responsibilities of PMC members. Please join us in welcoming Dmitriy to their new role in our project! Stamatis Zampetakis On behalf of the Apache Hive PMC
