Hi folks, I noticed that we have a `RELEASE_NOTES.txt` file [1] checked into the source repository, containing release notes for version 3.1.0. I’m not sure there is much value in keeping this in the main repository at this point, and I couldn’t find a clear reason for why it is still there.
Similarly, we have an `errata.txt` file [2] that appears to contain some misaligned commit messages or other related historical information. It doesn’t seem to be actively maintained, and I believe keeping it around is mostly technical debt at this point. Finally, there is a `.reviewboardrc` file [3]. I’m not entirely sure what purpose it serves today, but it appears to be related to Review Board, which we moved away from quite some time ago. I propose that we remove all three of these files from the repository. Please let me know if anyone has any objections or sees a reason to keep any of them. -Ayush [1] https://github.com/apache/hive/blob/master/RELEASE_NOTES.txt [2] https://github.com/apache/hive/blob/master/errata.txt [3] https://github.com/apache/hive/blob/master/.reviewboardrc
