Now that I'm done with writing my book, I'm hoping to tackle the mod_rewrite documentation. Mostly the Rewrite Guide. I started doing this in the 2.1 docs, and it sort of got abandoned this summer. I guess that falls under "Other Topics". I'd be glad to take on some of the other things that you mentioned.
