Looking a bit forward, I would suggest some form of "selection
criteria" for ignoring the query string. The scenario of wanting to
use the query string for everything but a certain mimetype or path/URL
doesn't seem too unlikely.
Since mod_cache runs as a quick handler, matching based on URL would
probably be the easiest since you don't have the mime type info then.
