+1 as soon as the Windows file handle issues are fixed in APR and probably in httpd. Bill any update on this regarding the APR side? AFAIU despite Tom's work with mod_perl and it's patches that seem to solve the problem it is still unclear why things work like they do. I guess this wants fixing first. I think that PR43472 (http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43472) would be also an important thing to backport once it is clear that my patch doesn't break things on Windows or other systems. I am not quite sure if the proxy patches Nick is currently working on will fit into this timescale. Depending on their importance we might need to have a look on the timescale again. Regards RĂ¼diger
