+1 to enable the JIRA notifications I am used to opening the email page and checking the JIRA dynamics of the community I am interested in from time to time. This is helpful for me to the things(bugs, issues, new ideas) happened in the community.
It makes more sense to remind me about myself. This way, I don't need to check the issue to see if anyone has left a new comment or pinged me.
