I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I've noticed
there's some work in progress on a Ruby port of iBATIS, as well as some
kind of module for Rails. I'm currently teaching myself Ruby/Rails and
I'm not too convinced of the way Rails handles SQL on Ruby files. Being
an iBATIS enthusiast, that made me wonder how iBATIS could be
translated to Rails, but following Ruby idioms. I was pleasantly
surprised when I discovered that something was in the works (including
a Rails JPetStore).
What are the plans for RBATIS? What kind of API will it have and how
will it compare to using plain SQL on Rails?
