Currently, iBATIS only allows building SqlMapClient instances from character
Readers. This can present problems when the system's default encoding is
broken.
Allowing iBATIS to build an SqlMapClient from an InputStream will offload
encoding issues to the parser - and the parser is probably better equipped to
deal with this issue.
