Jeff Butler commented on IBATIS-402:
------------------------------------

I think this is a very interesting idea and I like the general concept.
However, I would implement it a little differently...

1. I don't want to make DTP a pre-requisite for installing the basic Abator
plugin. So I would prefer that this enhancement be packaged as a seperate
plugin.

2. I will need to restructure the current plugin to allow an extension point -
this should be fairly simple to do, so I'll take a look at it.

3. I think it would be good to be able to reuse the Connection that DTP is
using - again, I'll need to make a change to Abator to allow this.

4. I think it would be cool to make a wizard that would generate code without
an XML file. You can configure and run Abator completely in Java - so I think
that it should be optional to persist the configuration in XML.

What are your thoughts about this?
