The Impala community, with our mentors, should decide if we should request from CLoudera na additional software grant for our thirdparty components.

However, it may make sense for them to have a software grant to the ASF if they "contain a patented algorithm or [are] core to how Impala works". My suspicion is that they do not and are not. Thoughts?
