Hi *,
I wonder whether it is possible to run some kind of preuninstall-makro
before a package is removed using packagemanager.
In the concrete example I want to install an AutoText-file. I add the
path pointing to my file in the uno_package_cache to the configuration
on first run of the macro.
But I don't know how to remove it when the package is deinstalled.
Is this possible at all?
no, this is not possible currently
Are there other mechanisms to install stuff using a package?
(I'm thinking of autotextfiles, templates, fonts)
no, currently you can only deploy components and , Basic, Java or Python
libraries + configuration files.
You can put other private files like images or whatever in your package
and have access to these files later if necessay but you can't deploy
them directly.
You have used a workaround for your autotext file and searches a further
workaround to remove it ;-)
We think about the possibility to extend the package manager to deploy
even more things like templates, autotext, but that it is still open. I
wouldn't like to see fonts there because fonts are a system resource for
me and should primary installed in the system and not in the office only.
If we will provide these functionality, templates and autotext for
exmple would be removed automatically when the package is uninstalled.
