The Open Clip Art Library has thousands of public domain images we can
use. This project was started in part by OOo members for the *purpose*
of giving OOo a nice collection of clip art to include. However, my
efforts to get some of those images included in OOo have brought no
fruition. Even my proposal of a separate download where people could get
extra goodies like templates, clipart, photos and the user guides (I
made a sample page) was ignored. So, honestly, I'm not very hopeful that
*this* time anything will happen.
Why do you think that it was ingnored? Communicating an idea is one
thing provding a process/implementation or what ever is the other and
most often the bigger part of it. Maybe you've post your idea at a time
where it was not recognized but in general i would say that we are open
for new ideas.
