I was contemplating implementing support for jcr:deref in xpath predicates a la https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-977. There is a message from Mercel saying that the spec doesn't explicitly support this[1]. However it doesn't explicitly disallow it either... What is the feeling on Jackrabbit supporting it if I implement it?
