Woonsan Ko commented on JCR-4077:
---------------------------------

I personally don't like to keep common-http client dependency in jackrabbit.
So, I changed the test case to use sftp fso config by default, instead of http
fso config. That should be good enough, IMO. (In the end, I'd like to expect
commons-vfs2 to be improved to use httpcomponents.)
People can choose either SFTP as backend or WebDAV (by adding old
jackrabbit-webdav and commons-http client dependencies manually in their end
projects).
Jackrabbit WebDAV and commons-httpclient do not need to be pulled in together
with jackrabbit-vfs-ext any more.

Regards,

Woonsan

> Switching to the new httpclient code will break jackrabbit-vfs-ext, which has
> a dependency on the older version.
> (Suggestions about how to deal with this welcome)
