Julian Reschke commented on JCRVLT-781: --------------------------------------- Sounds good. Except: there are projects using FileVault which are stuck with Java 8 (and which will likely not switch to Java 11 - these are the ones for which we maintain Oak 1.22.*). If they would now upgrade to FileVault 3.8.2, and we move to Java 11, what would be the plan how to support them when needed? Related to that: if we make the switch, the new version should be either 3.9 or even 4.0. > Require Java 11 > ---------------- > > Key: JCRVLT-781 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCRVLT-781 > Project: Jackrabbit FileVault > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: package maven plugin > Reporter: Konrad Windszus > Assignee: Konrad Windszus > Priority: Major > > In order to get rid of the Commons IO dependencies and leverage Jackrabbit > API/Commons 2.22.x (requiring Java 11) FileVault should require Java 11 as > well. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.10#820010)
