I've also seen this warning when running concurrent builds with Maven 3.0.4, so perhaps we should check if those plugins can be updated,
+1. Looks like a good question for the RAT plugin mailing lists..? [1] Note that they seem to have already annotated rat:help as being thread-safe [2], but not rat:check or rat:rat.
