let's work with the upstream projects and disable parallelism for the checkstyle goal for now.
How do you envisage this? Take the checkstyle:checkstyle goal out of the build and add it as a post-build step? We have mainly Maven (rather than freestyle) builds, so unfortunately we can't add this as another build step :-(
