Merged in JENA-1029 and JENA-1033 (with the usual zillions of repeat
commits :-|)
Builds have been stable locally, now to ensure to Jenkins is happy ...
If you are building from master, it may take a local "mvn clean install"
to get a consistent set of artifacts built.
