My first attempt was using a pattern that was too general to be moved. There aren't many users of SDB so I think SDB is best served by making changes when any one user has found an improvement for their usage and made a contribution. What I would like to see are some tests that pin down this behaviour so that any further changes in SDB don't affect this improvement by accident.
