>From where do you get this 2-5% improvements number ? That is an estimation. Your measurements show that the peak throughput is ~1-2M ops/sec. That means a single write takes ~0.5..1microsecond (== 1sec / 1Mops/sec). A real-life HTTP test would probably top at 10-50K/sec which is 20..100 microseconds per test.
