What is being blocked here ? Please clarify ?
Are you speaking about:

   - releasing log4j 1?
   - releasing JMeter 3.X with log4j2 updated  ?
   - switching from log4j2 to logback ?
   - something else ?


I am a bit lost.
I'll answer when you clarify and will stop discussing on this thread as I
see it may be taking the wrong path.
