If resetting global state in the constructor works for now, thats fine with
me. That should in principle be equivalent with calling Decoder.cleanUp() in
setup/teardown methods for the tests. I never know whether unit tests are
executed in parallel or not. If thats the case, we might have a general problem
with these 'Decoder-level' tests anyway. Maybe someone else has more insight
here?
