2. http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/JRUBY-1859 Breaks rails' db migrations. Both issues are very visible ones, and not easy for newcomers to figure out what to do with them and how to fix them. For newbies (who just trying out JRuby/Rails), everything should work out of the box with minimal fuzz. The patch for the first issue is posted. For the second issue, as far as I understand, we need an updated version of ar-jdbc.
