GitHub is more viral (at least now). Lots of Ruby devs are in GitHub and
its less hard for them to follow JRuby if its on GitHub. I think I read
Charlie said this was the reasons somewhere.
You can follow projects like you follow blogs. Follow peeps etc.
We recently moved TriSano's code GitHub. This ^^ was one minor reason
why for us. The main reason was just that our source code management
complexity needs had grown to the point where a distributed SCM made sense.
