OK, as for my own app, I hack the environment.rb to require the ApplicatioNController which would be reported as missing otherwise so both Spree and me are back on our feet. May be you should ensure the issue don't show on too many apps still otherwise people could be disappointed by such a regression. I mean, I only warned because in 100% of my tested Rails apps had the issue. Now I admit, 100% of 2 tested apps is not very reliable. Might be worth giving a try to other popular Rails apps to see if the work out of the box using JRuby edge. Again many thanks for the JRuby work, definitely one of the most valuable piece of open source around.
