These files are not with different cases, but with different content
as well! So, something is clearly not right there.

I don't think so. I guess Patrik got the sources from snapshots and
then built them with 1.8.0RC1. At least that's my theory. ;) For me,
the binary official snapshots are OK.
As for Ant 1.8.0RC1, while bisecting, I've been looking at the
changes, and it seems that Ant 1.8 has a lot of changes in jar/zip
tasks, so we might as well investigate in more detail and compare the
resulting ZIP files entry by entry, just in case. :)
