Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-1199:
----------------------------------------
I tried to reproduce this on the current master with a test. I put two page
files, UnusedPages.txt and another one, in the page directory before starting
the engine, with no .properties file next to them, and started the engine first
with FileSystemProvider and then with VersioningFileProvider. In both cases the
engine lists the two pages, pageExists returns true for UnusedPages, and the
page renders with the text of the file. So files without a properties file are
not the cause in this scenario, and I could not reproduce the report. To go
further it would help to know the page provider and the operating system, the
names and permissions of the files that are not found, their encoding, and
whether they were copied from another wiki. I am leaving the issue open.
> Ran into a strange problem of a wiki pages on disk, yet not found in the
> browser

> Issue Type: Bug
> Environment: windows in current master

> Priority: Minor
>
> I'm not entirely sure what's going on here, but i managed to break it.
> Trying to access a variety of 'default' pages, such as UnusedPages, etc.
> The files exist within the wiki storage directory, however the browser says
> it does not, why not make it. If i click on the link to make/edit the page,
> the contents shows up in the edit panel.
> If i just hit save (no edits), i'm back to, This page does not exist. Why
> don’t you go and [create
> it|http://localhost:8080/JSPWiki/Edit.jsp?page=UnusedPages]?
> If i hit edit and change the page, whitespace, etc, save, then the page
> renders in viewing mode.
> I've stepped through the code with the debugger and everything appears ok in
> terms of finding and loading the file.
