+1 By the way thanks Becket for following this all the way through. I know it seems crazy to put this much thought into configuration but the reality is that people really struggle to configure systems like this, and when they fail then things break. So from the user's point of view confusing is often as bad as buggy since it appears the same to them. And it really does take a lot of thought to make these things not confusing.
