Thanks again [~lmccay] for reviewing and explaining. I've uploaded a new
patch, with commits squashed, which omits the authentication policy.
I gave this a manual test too - providing credentials let's a Solr request go
through Knox - failure to provide credentials results in a 401, so success on
that front.
