Colm O hEigeartaigh commented on KNOX-992: ------------------------------------------ If I run the following: mvn clean install -Ppackage -DskipTests and then unzip: tar zxvf target/0.14.0-SNAPSHOT/knoxshell-0.14.0-SNAPSHOT.tar.gz I can see the README added to the root directory of the distribution. Yep that makes sense in terms of referencing the latest guide. I wonder would it make sense to add a "latest" book to the website that would duplicate whatever the recently released version is? Then we could refer to something like: http://knox.apache.org/books/latest/user-guide.html > Add README for the knoxshell distribution > ----------------------------------------- > > Key: KNOX-992 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-992 > Project: Apache Knox > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Colm O hEigeartaigh > Assignee: Colm O hEigeartaigh > Priority: Trivial > Fix For: 0.13.0 > > Attachments: > 0001-KNOX-992-Add-README-for-the-knoxshell-distribution.patch > > > The knoxshell dist could do with a README at the top level explaining what > the distribution does, or at least pointing back to the website. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.4.14#64029)
