If the real issue is KNOX-791 then this is a very misleading JIRA and the
provided patch has the issues described above and doesn't address KNOX-791 in
anyway that I can see. If there is an outstanding issue with that change, then
we need a separate JIRA that calls that out after reproducing it on master to
ensure that it hasn't already been fixed by something else.
