I would like to see this broken up into a couple different pieces rather than
all being in the setSystemPassword method.
* The workaround to look for the system property should not leak into your
actual group realm code - it should be relegated to the provisioning of the
providers part of the relevant contributor.
* The lookup of an aliased password may need to be done for other properties -
as you have indicated - and should be made available as a common utility method
for the shiro provider. Adding it to the AliasService made sense until we
determined that shiro config can't deal with dollar signs.
