Hi, PyHive and Kyuubi developers, This is a formal vote of donating PyHive[1] to be part of Apache Kyuubi.
The proposed donation codebase is currently hosted at the Dropbox GitHub account with a certain commit [2] As we discussed[3] before, I propose that we should now accept and merge the codebase to Apache Kyuubi's main repo[4] and continue development as part of the Kyuubi. We have consulted all active contributors/maintainers of PyHive and asked them about their willingness to join the Kyuubi community as PMC members or Committers after the donation is completed, and also about the nomination. Now we make sure that all of those who want to join the Kyuubi community have signed ICLAs. This vote is to determine if the Kyuubi PMC is in favor of accepting this donation. If the vote passes, the PMC and the authors of the code will work together to complete the ASF IP Clearance process (https://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/). I have filled out the first draft of the IP clearance form and submitted it to the SVN repo[5], you can also preview the HTML version at [6].
